Hey, everybody.  I used to update on here all the time.  But I find myself spending more and more time on myspace instead.  Besides, for some reason, iT'S LIKE THERE'S NOTHING MUCH GOING ON IN MY LIFE OF MUCH INTEREST.

kEON, mY COUSIN, mICHAEL'S BABY, EVENTUALLY WENT INTO A COMA.  hE HAS BRAIN DAMAGE.  tHEY THINK HE CAUGHT A BACTERIA TRANSFERRED THROUGH THE AIR AT osu hOSPITAL.  wELL, IT GAVE HIM AN INFECTION, WHICH INFECTED HIS BRAIN.  hE STARTED BLEEDING IN HIS BRAIN.  tHE THING IS WHATEVER HE CAUGHT, HE CAUGHT AFTER HE WAS BORN AT THE HOSPITAL.  tHE DOCTORS SAY THAT IN NORMAL HUMAN BEINGS WITH HEALTHY IMMUNE SYSTEMS, IT WOULDN'T EVEN BE DETECTED.  bUT SINCE HE WAS A PREEMIE WITH A VERY WEAK IMMUNE SYSTEM, HE CAUGHT IT EASILY AND IT AFFECTED HIM.

tHEY TRANSFERRED HIM FRIDAY TO CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL, AND THEY GAVE HIM A 2% CHANCE SURVIVAL RATE, AND THEY SAID IF HE DID SURVIVE, HE'D BE IN A VEGETATIVE STATE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE.  sO, TODAY, I WAS INFORMED THAT AFTER MORE TESTS, mICHAEL AND rACHEL DECIDED THEY ARE GOING TO TAKE HIM OFF OF LIFE SUPPORT, AND THEY ARE GIVING A FEW DAYS BEFORE THEY DO IT IN CASE ANY OF THEIR FAMILY AND FRIENDS WANT TO SEE HIM ONE MORE TIME BEFORE THEY DO. tHIS POOR BABY IS ONLY A LITTLE OVER 2 WEEKS OLD.  iT SCARES ME TO KNOW THAT THIS CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE, AND IT'S SO FRIGGIN' SAD KNOWING WHAT OUR FAMILY HAS BEEN THROUGH THESE PAST FEW MONTHS.

Hope everyone had a great Christmas.  I am just glad to be quitting work soon.  My last day is the 7th.  I start back to school the 8th, and have to delve right back into being extremely busy.  I actually won't get much more rest though.  I have to do my office practicum.  So, I'll basically still be working, just somewhere else, and not getting paid for it.  But, I hope I get good experience and do a good job.  If so, Holzer may hire me on permanently after graduation.  That place is really hard to start working at, since they usually hire within.  Ryan and I are hoping I get a job right away, because the sooner I get one, the faster we get out of his parents' house and into our own place again.

My mom had her hysterectomy yesterday.  She wanted to wait until after Christmas, and decided upon the day after.  I had to take my sisters up yesterday to see her, since Dad drove her up that morning and was with her the entire time.  He came home that night though, so I didn't have to stay at their place with my sisters.  She's doing fine, just happy that she doesn't have to have a period anymore...lol.  They also had to sew her bladder to her abdominal wall, because her uterus had fallen on it, and had made it fall as well.  I guess that's what happens when you have five kids.  She was pretty loopy in the hospital though, she kept seeing her reflection in the tv, and she knew it was her own reflection, but she was waving at herself in the tv....yeah.  She came home tonight.  It's kinda weird to see my dad wait hand and foot on my mom.  Just because she's constantly around doing something.  She doesn't like to sit still for long.

I got like almost $200 in walmart gift cards for christmas.  Already spent them all.

My cousin, Michael Shrewsbury, and his girlfriend, Rachel Popp, had their baby on Christmas Eve.  He was premature, not even due until March 9th.  But she woke up that morning bleeding.  They took her to Holzer, and they found out she had placentia abruptio (her placenta tore away from her uterine wall, and caused internal bleeding).  So, they life-flighted her to OSU Hospital in Columbus.  There, they told her that they had to do either an emergency c-section, or she had to be bed-rest in the hospital for another couple of weeks, and then they'd do a c-section.  They decided to take the baby that night, and he was born around 7:30 p.m.  Apparently, he is very healthful, his lungs are fully developed, but he needs to stay in the hospital for awhile to be monitored.  They don't know for how long.  They originally thought he was going to be in there for a month, but is doing alot better than expected, so the doctors say it won't be that long.  He was 3 lbs. 5 oz. and 15 in. long.  His name is Keon Jason Isaac Hill.  They had actually told me the day before he was born (we had our family christmas party on the 23rd) that they didn't like either one of their last names, so they were giving him Rachel's mother's maiden name.  Nowadays, you can just make up your own name and change it to whatever, I actually figured they would have picked out a more unusual name.

Well, we moved this weekend.  Last night was the first night we spent the night, and I'm already hating it.  Well, maybe not hating it, but pretty much disliking it.  I am just not into getting excited about moving in with my in-laws in a small, cramped space.  It's not really fun to pack and move all the crap we had either.  I just hope September gets here soon, and Ryan is not wanting to stay longer than that.  I think it's PLENTY long enough.

It's not like I don't like my in-laws.  I can take them in small doses, but to be living in someone else's place, with their rules dictating isn't too appealing.  Ryan and his mom fought constantly when still lived at him; I guess I'm just anticipating that happening again.  I honestly think the only reason they jumped at the possibility of us staying with them is because I'm pregnant, and Sheila wants to be the grandma that gets to spend most of the time with the baby.  My mom is none to happy about us moving farther away from her either.  I don't like the idea of living very far away from her either.  I know it's only like 1/2 hour away, but that means I can't just hop in the car for a five minute drive to see my mom anytime I want for lunch or anything.  The gas thing is gonna suck too.  Especially, when it comes to driving back and forth to school for a whole semester.

I have a feeling Ryan will be like, don't go anywhere but school and work, because of the gas prices.  If that happens, I swear, I'll go crazy.

I usually don't go this long without making an entry, but alas, the myspace bug has bitten, and I spend much more of my time on there.  We have an update though that is worth mentioning.  We found out two days ago that we are having a little boy, and we plan to name him Jaron Zane.  Yes, my kid's initials are J.Z......Yeah....oh, my cousin, Lanette, had a little girl November 27th and she named her Teraysa Maxeen.  Her mom's name is Teresa and the "ray" part is in memory of Chris Chipps, whose middle name is Ray (Her husband, Keith, was friends with Chris) and Maxeen is in memory of my pappaw, Max.

It took a long time for Ryan to even discuss boys' names, in fact, he refused to do it until we found out it was a boy, and not a girl.  I had a nice size list of names I liked, and this is the only one we could agree on, so god forbid if we ever have another boy, the kind of time we'll have with that.  Jaron is a combination of Jennifer, Ryan, and my Uncle Jason.  So that's a big reason why we picked it.

We say Jason Coy and Alisha at the clinic while we were there.  Alisha thought she pulled a muscle in her back, they find out what they are having on the 21st.  Ryan saw Kym, Zach, and Brad there too, he told her what we were having, but asked her to not tell my mom she knew, because we hadn't told her yet.  I was there for about 3 hours and had my phone off the whole time, so I couldn't call her until we left.  Cassie and Rob split up....turns out he was cheating on her, even before she found out she was pregnant, with his ex-girlfriend.  I guess she had moved away, and when she came back to Jackson, he started going and seeing her, and that was that.  He moved in with her the day after Cassie found out about it.  So, now she is living in the mobile home that Kym owns by herself.  I really don't like the idea of her living on her own, especially with her being 6 months pregnant and without a driver's license.  Apparently, Rob is threatening to sue for full custody when the baby is born.  Which is kind of stupid in the first place, because he didn't even want kids to begin with, and the woman he moved back in with had her children taken away from her by children's services.  Cassie is naming her son Skyeler Tristan.  Which is pretty tame, if you knew all the other names she had picked out for her baby list.  I still don't know what Michael and Rachel and Shannon and Amanda plan on naming their kids.  I'll have to ask Alisha next time I see her what they had picked out.  She told me before, but I forgot.

Nicki's all excited because Malikai is finally almost 6 pounds, but the funny thing about that is Teraysa is 5 weeks younger than him and she's still 2 pounds heavier. lol

Well, this month has just sucked.  My pappaw died yesterday morning.  I was at the hospital for almost 2 days straight with the family.  He had an infection in his pancreas, his blood pressure was extremely low, his kidneys stopped working, his liver made him jaundice, and they had to drain his gall bladder of 200 ccs of well, something....  He was out of it most of the time, because everytime he was awake, he kept trying to take out his tubes.  But he was awake long enough to tell me grandma that he did not want to be kept alive by machines.  So, after two days, the doctors said they tried everything they could, but he wasn't going to make it.  So, my dad and his brothers and sisters made the decision to take him off life support.  My mammaw asked them to make the decision for her, because she said she couldn't.  It was just terrible.  The last time I actually talked to him, he was awake, and I told him, "Pappaw, this is Jen, I have to go, but I will see you later, I love you".  Then I kissed his forehead and left.  He turned towards me when I started talking, so I know he understood me, even though his eyes were half open (he was practically blind anyway, so I don't think he could see much) and he couldn't talk because of all the tubes down his throat.  They had to restrain his arms and the tubes in his mouth because he kept trying to take them out when he was awake.  When they decided to take him off life support, they let us in, two at a time, to say goodbye to him.  My little sister, Jahnee', wouldn't go back, so I went back with Jessica, who of course, was bawling, so I was trying to be strong for her.  I couldn't even say anything to him.  I didn't know what to say.  I just leaned down and kissed him and told him I loved him, and went to walk out of the room and almost collapsed.  My mom had to help me to the waiting room and I was crying so hard, that they put a trash can in front of me, and gave me a damp washcloth.  Saying goodbye was so hard to do.  I'm their oldest grandchild, he used to call me Pappaw's Princess.  Two funerals in one month is just too much for us right now.  It's so crazy!

One a MUCH brighter note, my nephew was born two hours after he died.
